Job description

You will be based on Demolition sites across England and be responsible for the on-site management of a project or section of works, ensuring management in a safe and effective manner, on time and within budgets. You will have a clear understanding of the value of the contract and its durations to which you will ensure completion on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervising various demolition and enabling works activities ensuring compliance with all Safe Systems of Work, including risk assessments and method statements
  • Ensuring all works carried out comply with all current HSQE legislation and company management systems and policies, whilst promoting safe working practices to minimise accidents and incidents
  • Conducting site and works inspections and maintaining records whilst monitoring the quality of the works through progressive stages of the test and inspection plans
  • Ensuring productivity is maximised at all times, communicating any delays or change to management
  • Providing detail for management to be able to produce short-term programmes for specific work areas and progress reports
  • Completing inductions, activity briefings, toolbox talks and keeping records
  • Housekeeping to ensure that the facilities are kept clean, tidy and free of trip hazards and that the site remains secure during operations and at the end of shifts
  • Ensuring plant inspections are completed on time and that all defects have been reported
  • Professionally liaising with clients and project stakeholders at all times.
