Job summary

A leading automotive parts distributor in the United Kingdom is seeking a Delivery Driver to ensure timely deliveries and provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will hold a valid driving licence, have at least 3 years of driving experience and be knowledgeable of the local area. This role is on a zero hour/casual contract, requiring flexibility to meet branch needs.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK Driving Licence with a maximum of 6 points.
• Have a minimum of 3 years driving experience.
• Previous experience within a delivery driver role.
• Understand the necessity of excellent standards of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver product to customer premises within a 40 mile radius.
• Ensure high levels of customer service at all times.
• Provide feedback to branch on customer and competitor activity.
• Load your vehicle according to procedures.
• Collect customer returns as required.
• Perform vehicle maintenance including daily checks.

About The Role

Delivery Drivers play a crucial part of the team within GSF Car Parts. They are the face of our brand by delivering parts to customers and continuously providing excellent customer service. Our Delivery Drivers give customer feedback insights and ensure we stay committed to delivering goods within the promised time.

As a Delivery Driver working on a zero hour/casual contract, you will support the branch in covering holidays or absences. You will be responsible for contributing to the overall success of a high performing organization and promoting the Company brand through positive interaction with customers.

Main Duties

• Deliver product to customer premises within a 40 mile radius
• Ensure high levels of customer service at all times
• Provide feedback to branch on relevant customer and competitor activity
• Load your vehicle according to procedures
• Collect customer returns as required
• Perform vehicle maintenance including daily checks
• Assist in the warehouse as and when required
• Assist with inter‑branch transfer deliveries as and when required

Working Hours

Up to 41 (average) hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working, depending on the cover needed in the branch.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Hold a full UK Driving Licence with a maximum of 6 points
• Have a minimum of 3 years driving experience
• Excellent knowledge of the 40 mile radius of the branch
• Previous experience within a delivery driver role
• Understand the necessity of excellent standards of customer service
• Work to deadlines with good time‑keeping skills
