Qualifications

  • Must have Maths and English at GCSE Grade 4 / C or equivalent.
  • Qualified Teacher Status in Early Years, primary or secondary required.
  • Experience working with deaf children is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support learners to achieve their full potential.
  • Provide advice and support to families and schools.
  • Work collaboratively across a network of Teachers of Deaf children.

Qualified Teacher Status
Qualified Teacher of Deaf Children
British Sign Language Level 2
Experience with Deaf children
Specialist Deaf curriculum framework
Working with complex SEND needs
Teaching with BSL
Knowledge of SEND legislation
Understanding of Early Years/National Curriculum
