Join to apply for the Dayshift Robotic Welding Programmer role at Rosenboom Machine & Tool

Write, edit, and troubleshoot programs for assigned robotic welding machinery, using computer software for programming and other department support. Ensure weldments meet Rosenboom weld specification S903DZ0001.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Write robotic weld programs that meet the quality specifications of customers and Rosenboom while maintaining minimum weld cycle time.
  • Inspect, measure, and/or test completed weldments and supporting materials, to ensure conformance to specifications, using measuring and testing devices.
  • Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as gas metal arc welding and gas tungsten arc welding equipment.
  • Productive member of his/her workgroup and adheres to all Rosenboom policies, including safety requirements/procedures especially working with robotic equipment, to ensure a safe working environment for all Rosenboom employees.
  • Work in a production setting to facilitate the needs of Rosenboom’s production goals.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance (PM) program for all weld related equipment. Maintain a 6S program for equipment and tools in the Weld Support Department.
  • Understands written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents - English.
  • Assist in training department peers and production operators as needed.
  • Ability to become familiar with other robot manufacturers and models.
  • Ability to travel for training or to assist other facilities.
  • Use of mathematics to solve problems.
  • Demonstrate ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Determines the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
