Job summary

Qualifications

This role could suit someone with experience in data privacy, governance, or risk management who’s ready to take the next step. A bit about the job:

You’ll play a key role in supporting Aviva’s IWR business by assessing and managing data privacy risks. You’ll provide specialist guidance to teams across the UK, oversee compliance processes, and support projects that drive growth while maintaining strong data governance. This role is central to protecting customer and employee data and ensuring Aviva meets regulatory requirements.

You’ll join the IWR Data Governance & Privacy team, working with stakeholders from a wide network of teams to help the business make informed decisions.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:
  • Strong knowledge of data privacy principles and regulations (e.g., GDPR), ideally with an accredited CIPP qualification.
  • Experience completing or reviewing Data Privacy Impact Assessments and understanding risk management frameworks.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and provide clear, practical guidance.
  • Familiarity with data subject rights processes for customers and employees.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to train and support colleagues on data privacy topics.
