Role Overview:

As a Data Engineer at Glue Reply, you will lead strategic data initiatives across cloud-based platforms and digital transformation programmes. This role combines hands-on technical contribution with leadership, enabling you to define requirements, guide delivery, and collaborate closely with both client and internal teams. You will design and optimise complex data models and pipelines, ensuring the delivery of accurate, reliable, and actionable data solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead data workstreams across customer data platforms (CDP) and digital transformation projects.
  • Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and delivery plans.
  • Scope new projects, define resource requirements, and guide clients through roadmap planning.
  • Present project progress, blockers, and solution options to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Design and manage complex data models spanning multiple systems and customer touchpoints.
  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for high-quality, timely, and actionable data, including monitoring and troubleshooting performance.
  • Advise clients on downstream data usage, reporting, visualization, analytics best practices, and support DevOps processes while staying ahead of industry trends.
About the Candidate:
  • 5–7 years’ experience in data engineering, ideally in customer-centric domains.
  • Proven experience with CDP implementations or large-scale martech/data projects.
  • Comfortable leading client-facing technical engagements, from roadmap to delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and modern ETL tooling (e.g., Airflow, DBT, Spark).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern data stack components.
  • Agile delivery experience, with ability to manage sprints, backlogs, and project documentation.
  • Curious mindset with a passion for emerging technologies, especially AI.
