Job summary

An international engineering and construction company is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join their team in Dartford. This role involves developing security processes, managing incidents, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance security measures. Cyber Security Analyst

6 month Fixed term contract

Do you want to be part of something different? At Laing O'Rourke we have an opportunity for a Cyber Security Analyst to join the team. Are you able to support comprehensive Cyber Security programs whilst addressing new threats? Then we need your expertise in defining security processes and standards. You will proactively manage technical controls and maintain optimal performance and compliance.

Do you support IT teams to deploy and manage technical controls? Is responding to security incidents in a fast and efficient way second nature to you? Then this could be the job for you.

Key accountabilities
  • Develop and own cyber security processes and procedures to ensure that security controls are managed and maintained both in region and globally
  • Ensures that all identified cyber security breaches are promptly and thoroughly investigated and that any system changes required to maintain security are implemented. Ensures that security records are accurate and complete and that request for support are dealt with according to set standards and procedures.
  • Contributes to the creation and maintenance of policy, standards, procedures and documentation for cyber security that maintain and achieve relevant industry security certifications.
  • Researches and assesses new threats and security alerts and recommends remedial actions. Play an active part in responding to and resolving security incidents (Prepare, Identify, Contain, Remediate, Recover)
  • Work with key suppliers, partners and vendors to drive maximum value and security benefit from security services and solutions
  • Work with cyber security leadership to develop plans to enforce security requirements and address identified risks.

Are you familiar with common information security regulations, certifications and management frameworks? Come and show us your technical expertise in operating systems, enterprise systems, cloud solutions and cyber security technologies.

Essential Experience
  • Security incident management tools and process (SIEM, MITRE ATT&CK framework)
  • Knowledge of accepted cyber security principles, industry best practice and information risk concepts
  • Ability to develop, document and maintain IT processes and procedures
  • You will have around 5 years or more of experience in enterprise information security and / or cyber security functions
Desirable Experience
  • Degree qualified or equivalent work experience in information systems
  • Formal industry recognised Cyber Security qualification – ISC2 CISSP, ISC2 CISM or certified ethical hacker
  • Security and Network technologies

The position will required time in our Dartford office as well as occasional project visits. The role will support the IT Cyber Security Team.
