It offers the opportunity to gain valuable expertise and hands-on experience in a high-growth, highly regulated sector, becoming an integral part of one of Irelands leading logistics companies.

You will work closely with internal teams, customers, hauliers, ferry operators, and regulatory authorities to ensure the smooth and compliant movement of goods across international borders.

A key focus of the role will be supporting European Transit (T2) movements crossing the GB landbridge, including:

  • Coordinating customs transit documentation for EU-origin goods moving via Great Britain
  • Managing SPS-controlled consignments, including the preparation and submission of CHEDs, health documentation, and pre-notifications to competent authorities (e.g. DAFM, DAERA, NVWA, SIVEP)
  • Ensuring alignment between transit documents, commercial paperwork, and SPS declarations to avoid delays, inspections, or penalties
  • Monitoring movements through ports and Border Control Posts to ensure compliance and timely release

Full training will be provided, including structured support on customs systems, transit procedures, and SPS requirements. Flexibility with working patterns is required, reflecting the time-critical nature of cross-border logistics and port operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and keen to develop a specialist skillset within international customs and logistics.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Computerised data entry into multiple bespoke customs software packages – such as Traces Trader Support Service and Thyme IT.
  • Ensuring compliance with all customs procedures by properly documenting and controlling all mandatory customs functions

  • Ensuring customs form completion as per the specific requirements of our customers
