Customer Delivery Driver – Cardiff Extra

Join Tesco as a Customer Delivery Driver in Cardiff. The role offers a flexible schedule and a starting hourly rate of £13.35, which increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.

We commit to providing a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with a flexible 12‑hour option available. Your contracted hours are scheduled within the availability windows listed below, and you will receive three weeks’ notice of your shift times.

Availability Windows

• Sunday: 18:00 – 22:00
• Monday: 18:00 – 22:00
• Tuesday: 18:00 – 22:00
• Thursday: 18:00 – 22:00
• Friday: 18:00 – 22:00
• Saturday: 18:00 – 22:00

Responsibilities

• Ensure vans and trays are clean, tidy, and organised.
• Maintain a clean and rubbish‑free back yard.
• Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
• Load the van, checking roadworthiness.
• Communicate changes to customers, including substitution offers and refunds.
• Handle products with care as if they were your own.
• Clarify that customers are not charged for substitutions.
• Deliver within the customer’s time slot.
• Call customers prior to arrival if early.
• Notify the store or centre if running 30+ minutes late.
