Job Overview
The Customer Master Data Manager will be a member of the UK GSC Leadership Team and will report to the Global Supply Chain (GSC) Market Lead UK. The role leads the ONE Pfizer Customer Account Management operations for Pfizer’s UK Customer Master Data team, supports the broader GSC team with a focus on Customer Experience, and line‑manages the Customer Master Data (CMD) team.
Role Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
- Act as SME for CMD processes and IT changes linked to Pfizer acquisition, UK DTP model, audits, and application strategies.
- Monitor operational sales using strong data/statistical skills.
- Apply supply control processes to maintain medicine availability and compliance.
- Manage and validate UK customer accounts.
- Collaborate internally and with service providers to resolve escalated issues.
- Document key decisions for organisational memory.
- Work closely with DTP Logistics Service Provider to ensure accurate ERP supply controls.
Strategy, Execution & Leadership
- Develop and implement CMD strategies for UK Therapy Areas.
- Lead team goals, CMD KPIs and GSC KPIs.
- Support team to deliver priorities and adapt to change.
- Foster collaboration across functions (Demand, Finance, Brand Leads, Commercial Directors).
Innovation, Technology & Data
- Network internally/externally to track business trends.
- Identify and implement process improvements and innovations.
- Ensure data accuracy using external benchmarks; resolve data gaps.
- Oversee system interface issues (e.g., SAP ERP) and manage application change requests and releases with BT partners.
Platform Engagement & Culture
- Support engagement forums and GSC UK culture development.
- Role model ONE Pfizer mindset and enterprise leadership.
- Share best practices internally and externally.
- Connect global strategy to UK priorities and support colleague growth.
- Promote Pfizer values (Courage, Excellence, Equity, Joy) and wellbeing culture.
Basic Qualifications & Experience
- Pharmaceutical industry experience or relevant experience from other industries – working knowledge of the pharmaceutical supply chain, including a comprehensive understanding of Pharmacy customers.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to plan and continuously prioritize workload to support business needs.
- Good interpersonal and networking skills – ability to network, influence and manage colleagues across disciplines and levels.
- Able to engage with customers to understand their needs whilst operating compliantly and professionally.
- Solid understanding of different customer segments.
- Commercial awareness of how medicines are typically used, across all Therapy Areas.
- Very strong data analysis / numerical analysis skills, including the ability to complete robust statistical analyses of large data sets.
- Logical reasoning skills to form appropriate conclusions and then take compliant actions that improve the effectiveness of the supply controls.
- Strong data visualization skills.
- Ability to review and ensure alignment of all relevant policies, regulations, and internal guidance with other teams across Pfizer UK as needed.
