A regional business support organization in Chesterfield is seeking a detail-oriented individual for a part-time credit control role. Responsibilities include collecting outstanding payments and monitoring debt reports to ensure a healthy cash flow. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft applications. This is a great opportunity to work in a close-knit team environment, supporting local businesses and communities.

Cash flow is the lifeblood of any organisation, and that’s where you come in. You’ll be part of our financial operations, making sure income flows in smoothly through timely collection of outstanding debts and ensuring relationships with our valued customers are professional.
You will chase payments, problem-solve and build trust. Key to keeping our finances healthy, supporting our members and making a real impact.
With a part-time schedule (working pattern available over three or four days per week between Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) and a close-knit team environment, this is an opportunity to support the Chamber’s ability to invest in services that enhance local businesses and communities.

If you’re successful at this stage, you will be invited for an interview. If you’re unsuccessful, the Chamber’s HR team will let you know by email.
First, you’ll be invited to an in-person interview at the Chesterfield office within 10 days of the advert closure. If your interview goes well, you may invited to attend a second interview or offered the role. Some interviews might require you to compile some research or to prepare a presentation. At the end of the interview, the interviewer will confirm the timeline for next steps.
Interviews usually last around an hour with a mix of competency based interview questions, and in some cases, we might ask you to carry out some practical exercises.
Decisions will be made at each stage of the process, as we score applicants against the role criteria. If you’re successful, we will contact you to make an offer. This will be followed up in writing and a contract will be sent to you once a start date is confirmed. You will receive information on your induction and what you will do on your first day.
