Site Information

HMP Northumberland is a Category C men’s prison located in Morpeth near Acklington, Northumberland. The team aims to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and facilitates successful reintegration into society.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
  • Teaching qualification and applicable subject specialist qualification – commit to obtaining the outstanding qualification within 12 months.

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)/Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or commit to work towards it within a specified timeframe (Applies to Teachers in YOI only)
