Conveyancing Solicitor – Ilkley

A well-respected law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Property Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or an experienced Fee Earner to join its busy and successful conveyancing team in a senior capacity. The role can be based in Bradford or Ilkley and provides an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional to manage a full caseload, mentor junior colleagues and play an active role in the development and growth of the department and firm.

About the Role:

As a senior member of the Residential Property team, you will manage a full caseload of residential transactions while providing leadership, guidance and support to junior team members. You will also contribute to business development initiatives and support the department's financial and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and progress a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including freehold and leasehold sales, purchases and re-mortgages
  • Supervise, support and mentor junior lawyers and support staff
  • Provide high-quality legal advice and maintain exceptional standards of client service
  • Achieve billing targets and ensure accurate time recording
  • Take responsibility for credit control on your own matters, working closely with the accounts team
  • Ensure compliance with SRA regulations, Solicitors Accounts Rules and internal procedures
  • Support marketing, client development and business growth initiatives
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues and external contacts
  • Participate in internal and external training and assist with delivering in-house learning where required
  • Work with the Head of Department to promote team cohesion, innovation and ongoing success
What We're Looking For:
  • Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or experienced fee earner with significant experience managing residential property matters
  • Previous experience in supervising or leading a team is desirable
  • Ability to manage, support and motivate junior colleagues
  • Strong commercial awareness and business development skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Highly organised with knowledge of diary and case management systems
