Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid SIA Front-Line Licence.
  • Must possess a valid SIA CCTV Licence.
  • Ability to achieve vetting to BS 7858 standards.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and surveil CCTV systems to maintain security.
  • Manage access control and prepare compliance reports.
  • Conduct regular patrols of internal and external areas.
  • Write accurate incident reports and daily logs.
  • Provide front-of-house/concierge duties.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a highly skilled, SIA‑Licensed Security Officer to create a secure and safe environment for all staff and visitors. Your responsibilities will include applying thorough access control procedures, conducting site inductions, planned and ad‑hoc patrols, and following escalation protocols during emergencies as outlined in the Assignment Instructions.

Shift schedule: 42.5 hours/week, 4 on 4 off; 06:30‑18:30 and 18:30‑06:30.

What you will need
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • A valid SIA Front‑Line Licence – essential.
  • A valid SIA CCTV Licence – essential.
  • Confidence and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel).
  • Ability to achieve vetting to BS 7858 standards.
What you are going to do
  • Monitor and surveil CCTV systems to maintain security.
  • Manage access control and prepare reports to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Oversee access control procedures, issue passes, and supervise entry points.
  • Use security systems, including visitor management tools and electronic logging systems.
  • Provide front‑of‑house/concierge duties, offering a welcoming meet‑and‑greet service.
  • Respond to incidents, including escalation and liaison with emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular patrols of internal and external areas.
  • Write accurate reports, including incident logs, daily occurrence reports, and handover notes.
  • Deliver customer service and conflict management, maintaining a calm and professional approach at all times.
  • Perform ad‑hoc duties as directed.
