We are continuing to grow our Fire Science and Chemical Management consultancy group and as a result are now looking to recruit an ambitious individual to join our industry leading team.
As a Scientific Advisor / Trainer you will be providing training to and acting as a scientific advisor for UK emergency services (Fire, Ambulance and Police) and large commercial clients, plus ensuring successful delivery of a wide range of consultancy and training projects.
Potential candidates should note that training courses are provided at locations across the UK (including Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and some courses last for 5 days. Therefore the ability and willingness to travel is essential with a readiness to be flexible in working from various locations around the UK.
The Scientific Advisor role includes participation in a 24/7/365 rota for which the expectation is for each advisor to be on-call one week in every four. Additional standby payments are made for these on-call periods.
We are looking for an experienced trainer, or teacher (minimum level 3 AET) with a background/qualifications in Chemistry. A confident speaker who can draw knowledge from an array of disciplines to answer complex technical queries.
