CONSULTANT MEDICAL MICROBIOLOGY or JOINT INFECTIOUS DISEASES AND MICROBIOLOGY (10 PAs)

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Applications are invited for a Consultant Medical Microbiologist or consultant clinical scientist or joint consultant microbiologist/ infectious diseases. BHRUT is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Consultant Medical Microbiologist to join our team of five highly motivated, clinically oriented microbiology colleagues in our well established multidisciplinary department. This is a new post.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Full and specialist registration (and with a licence to practice) with the General Medical Council (GMC) or be eligible for registration within six months of interview.
  • Appropriate Clinical Training and wide experience in Clinical Microbiology/Virology and Infection Control
  • To hold FRCPath or equivalent
  • MSc Medical Microbiology
  • Experience of Educational Supervision, teaching skills or qualifications, developing Infection/Microbiology
