About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you’ll lead on the development and delivery of a comprehensive Consultant Engagement Strategy — building strong partnerships with consultants, GP referrers, and allied health professionals to grow our private and NHS activity.

You’ll also manage and mentor our Primary Care Liaison Team, ensuring cohesive working, high performance and exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Consultant Engagement Strategy to drive private revenue growth across the KIMS Hospital network.
  • Identify and attract new consultants, supporting them through the Practising Privileges process and induction.
  • Account manage key consultants to ensure service delivery and commercial alignment.
  • Work closely with the Sales & Marketing teams to deliver campaigns, events and engagement initiatives for consultants, GPs, and medical secretaries.
  • Oversee consultant performance reporting, service development and business case proposals for new services and treatments.
  • Lead, coach and support the Primary Care Liaison Managers to achieve outreach growth targets and KPI delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, GPs, AHPs and referrers to drive sustained growth.
  • Report regularly to senior leadership on performance, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience in business development, healthcare engagement, or consultant relations (private healthcare experience desirable).
  • Possesses excellent relationship management, influencing and communication skills.
  • Is commercially astute, analytical, and confident managing budgets and performance data.
  • Leads by example, inspiring collaboration, accountability, and high standards within their team.
  • Is proactive, innovative and motivated by achieving results.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Consultant revenue and caseload growth against business plan
  • Theatre and outpatient utilisation
  • Successful delivery of new services
  • Consultant and medical secretary satisfaction
  • ROI and budget management
