Job description
Overview

Your new role as Component Technician Leading Hand reports to the Workshop Supervisor.

Location: Welshpool

Roster: Monday to Friday 10.5 hour days inclusive of meal break

Responsibilities

Responsible for overseeing the cleaning, preparation, disassembly & assembly of components.

Leading a team to ensure that all components are cleaned, disassembled, and assembled to the highest standards, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, and meeting production deadlines.

Completing Component repair/rebuild quotes.

Setting up Job Packs and planning daily tasks for team members.

Working with vendors to have components completed outside of WesTrac.

Parts management. Ensuring parts have arrived and are in the bay's ready for work completion.

Skills & Experience

Machine assembler or Component Technician with experience in multiple components or machines.

Drive in continuous improvement, actively looking for improvement in the workplace.

Previous leadership experience in a similar role.

Strong understanding of component rebuild processes.

Caterpillar product knowledge, component change-out experience - Preferred.

Experience with Caterpillar Systems (ET, SIS, VIMS) is desirable.

Dedication to a safe working environment and quality work for our customers.

Ability to work night shifts, additional hours and weekends/extra days as required to support the team.

Ability to work within a team & autonomously.

Experience using PSQ and Service Link.
