The Role

As a Compliance Coordinator (Estates), you’ll play a key role in ensuring estates activities remain safe, compliant and well controlled. This is a stand-alone, office-based coordination role with a high level of autonomy, acting as the central point of contact for estates compliance across site(s).

You’ll be responsible for overseeing, coordinating and reporting on compliance activity, working closely with delivery teams, contractors and stakeholders to identify risks early and ensure controls, inspections and actions are tracked through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinating asbestos, legionella and F-Gas compliance activities across site(s)
  • Maintaining compliance registers, risk assessments, inspection schedules and training records
  • Managing statutory inspection programmes and tracking follow-up actions to closure
  • Producing compliance reports and escalating risks or issues where required
  • Supporting audits, PSI activity and internal and external compliance reviews
  • Identifying and driving improvements in compliance processes and reporting
Essential experience of the Compliance Coordinator (Estates):
  • Experience working in a legislation, regulation or controlled environment
  • Background in a compliance, coordination or support role within construction, property management or facilities management
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage your own workload
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience in a support or coordination environment, demonstrating reliability and professionalism
  • Understanding of asbestos, legionella and F-Gas management requirements
  • Working knowledge of key health and safety legislation such as PUWER and LOLER

We would also consider candidates who are currently in a hands‑on technical or site‑based role and are looking to move into a more office‑based compliance or coordination position.

Essential qualifications for the Compliance Coordinator (Estates):
  • Level 3 NVQ in engineering, technical or a similar field, or equivalent relevant experience

This role is 37 hours per week based at Boscombe Down (BCEE). This is an onsite, office-based role, working five days per week with flexible start and finish times (earliest start 7.30am, latest finish 5.00pm).

MOD Boscombe Down is a unique operational site featuring the longest military runway in the UK. Primarily focusing on providing testing, evaluation and support services for aviation and aerospace systems. Renowned for its extensive flight testing capabilities the site plays a vital role in the UK’s aviation defence contributing to the development, testing and airworthiness of military aircraft enhancing operational readiness and effectiveness.
