Qualifications

  • Experience in personal support and care for individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Strong understanding of tenants’ rights and the relevant support frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop professional relationships with tenants to enhance their self-esteem and identity.
  • Assist tenants with personal hygiene and domestic duties as needed.
  • Escort tenants to outside activities, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Report any concerns regarding tenants promptly to senior staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of medication and care provided.

Skills

Experience of working with people with learning disabilities
Experience of maintaining budgets and handling money
Knowledge of the needs and requirements of those with learning disabilities

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
