Job description

Due to an expansion of our service an excellent opportunity has become available to support our children and young people with additional complex health needs in a variety of settings - Glenmar (Residential House), Private residencies across Fife and Education settings. This service is managed as part of the wider Children & Young Peoples Community Nursing Service (CYPCNS). We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, flexible and self motivated registered nurses who are committed to the provision of safe, effective child centred quality care. We work closely with all our partners across Health & Social care, 3rd Sector as well as Education.

Under the supervision of the Nurse Team Leader, the post holder will provide nursing care and support to children & young people with exceptional health care needs. You will ensure high standards of care are delivered. This will be achieved by providing training and supervision to other nurses, healthcare support workers, education and social care staff and students in clinical skills relevant to children with exceptional healthcare needs.

Alongside the Nurse Team Leader you will be involved in ensuring all aspects of the Childs Plan are being met as well as supporting and supervising more junior members of staff and parents in the day-to-day delivery of care.

The successful candidate must be a UK registered nurse. Previous experience of working with children and young people with exceptional healthcare needs would be advantageous. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work as part of a multiagency team.

You will be given all appropriate training required to undertake this role and benefit from working alongside a team of knowledgeable, experienced staff and given the opportunity for ongoing professional development.
