Key Responsibilities

• Raise the profile of physical activity, sport and health and wellbeing opportunities.
• Manage and monitor contracts and commissioning arrangements with Sheffield City Council related to physical activity, sport, health and wellbeing services.
• Manage resources with local and city-wide remits.
• Manage staff, volunteers and placements.
• Generate income for the service and city through funding and commercial ventures.
• Drive the performance of services delivered and commissioned by Sheffield City Council.
• Develop and deliver partnership initiatives.

About the Role

The central aim is to develop and increase participation in physical activity and sport in Sheffield. The prime purpose of this role is to lead on and support the development, implementation, delivery and review of high‑quality physical activity, sport and health and wellbeing services to the public of Sheffield. This will require flexible working hours and strong individual skills.
