As a Community of Practice Technology Support Member Service Desk Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting and enhancing a national community of practice. You will focus on specific activities or areas within the community, ensuring that efforts align with national standards and priorities while avoiding duplication.
As a Community of Practice Technology Support Member Service Desk Analyst, you will:
Volunteers in this role will be expected to: Attend an initial training and onboarding session (typically online, 2-6 hours) Join a rota or agreed pattern of availability to assist the wider tech support team Provide first-line support on common issues (e.g. login, system navigation, access queries) via agreed channels such as Teams or email Escalate more complex problems appropriately and contribute to shared documentation where applicable Participate in regular coordination check-ins with the Tech Support Lead or Officer (usually monthly) Maintain up-to-date knowledge of supported systems and organisational digital policies Log their support activity to contribute to service monitoring and improvement This is a great opportunity for volunteers with technical aptitude to contribute to a national support function, develop service desk experience, and help others make the most of St John’s digital infrastructure.
