Job summary

A prominent healthcare provider in Gateshead is seeking a diligent Service Administrator to support the Community Mental Health Team. This role involves providing key administrative services, responding to inquiries, and managing appointments. Strong communication skills and experience in mental health services are essential. The successful candidate will be offered a supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth. Previous NHS experience is preferred, but full induction will be provided.

Qualifications

  • Must have an awareness of mental health issues.
  • Ability to maintain and update Patient Information Systems.
  • Previous secretarial/clerical experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the team.
  • Respond to telephone and email inquiries on behalf of the team.
  • Schedule appointments and manage conflicting diary appointments.

Shorthand skills

Education

General level of education to O-Level/GCSE or equivalent
NVQ L3 in Business Administration or equivalent
Keyboarding/typing qualification equivalent to RSA3/OCR Advanced
