Overview

The Tytherington is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. As a key part of our culinary operation, you will assist the Sous Chef in food preparation, ensuring the highest quality dishes are consistently produced. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a professional and fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Sous Chef with food preparation to specification, ensuring high-quality dishes.
  • Source necessary ingredients and small equipment items and minimise wastage.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and follow safe food handling practices.
  • Report to the Head Chef and participate in departmental meetings; perform tasks as assigned.
  • Assist during busy periods and participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience & Skills Required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • GCSE qualification and/or Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Awards
  • Previous hospitality industry cooking experience preferred
Schedule
  • We operate a 7-days-a-week business, between 0600 to 2300
  • Shift patterns vary per business requirements, including weekends and bank holidays
  • Evening availability for functions (until 0200)
