The role

We are looking for a Commercial, Technology and Outsourcing Associate(c. 2-5 PQE). The ideal candidate will be an excellent technicallawyer, with a commercial approach to negotiations and resolving issues.

You will typically have an opportunity to be involved in a wideselection of work, but your primary role will be leading andsupporting on commercial contracts, outsourcing (whether BPO, IT orotherwise) and core technology contracts (such as cloud computing,systems development/integration and digital transformation). You willwork across sectors, with a particular focus on contracts andnegotiations in the context of the retail & consumer, TMT,business support services and fintech.

Experience in the following will also be valued:

• general commercial contracts e.g., supply of goods and/or services(B2B and B2C), agency, distribution, joint ventures andcollaboration agreements and payment service agreements
• advertising and marketing including regulatory investigations
• general technology and advisory work (e.g. the regulation of theuse of AI)
• IP and data protection experience
• commercial and technology M&A transactions (includingacquisitions and divestments and joint ventures)

You will be a proactive and collaborative member of the team who willbe excited by the prospect of helping to grow this important area ofthe firm's business.

Knowledge, skills and experience

• 2-5 years of PQE or equivalent relevant expertise in commercialcontracts, technology and outsourcing (and preferably withexperience in advertising and marketing, AdTech and AdTech data matters)
• Delivers legal and commercial solutions and establishescollaborative working relationships with clients and colleagues toprovide an outstanding client experience
• Supports the team to manage the client experience, developstrusted relationships and interacts with clients confidently toachieve the best outcome for the client
• Committed to business development to further grow their networkand the practice
• Works efficiently and commercially and understands the importanceof financial hygiene
• Collaborative and works effectively in a team
• Understands how to develop junior team members and support their ambitions
