Help Shape the Legal Foundations of a Greener Energy Future

Are you ready to use your legal expertise to drive the UK’s energy transition?

We’re seeking two proactive and commercially minded legal professionals to join our team, supporting E.ON’s Energy Infrastructure Solutions and Industrial & Commercial business areas.

This is your opportunity to work on high-profile sustainable energy projects — from powering hospitals and ports to collaborating with major industrial clients — and play a key role in delivering innovative, low-carbon energy solutions across the UK.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide in-house legal advice across E.ON’s business, focusing on infrastructure and commercial energy solutions.
  • Support the development and delivery of energy infrastructure projects, including on-site and off-site solar PV, wind, heat pumps, and heat networks.
  • Advise on all aspects of project development, sales, procurement, construction, and operation.
  • Draft and negotiate a range of commercial agreements, such as ESCOs, private wire, waste heat off-take, and energy supply contracts.
  • Advise on complex energy supply agreements, metering and data contracts, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and regulatory developments.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders, product teams, and business units to enable innovation, customer value, and operational excellence.
  • Manage legal risk effectively while supporting the delivery of sustainable growth.

Join us and help build the legal framework for a cleaner, smarter energy future.

What we need from you
  • You’re a UK-qualified solicitor or barrister.
  • You have relevant experience advising on construction and/or complex commercial contracts.
  • You bring strong business acumen and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
  • You’re confident working independently, but equally value collaboration and teamwork.
  • You can work flexibly and remain resilient in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • You have excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of the business.
  • You have excellent English written and verbal communication skills

It would be great if you also had

  • Experience in the energy industry, or within a regulated or in-house environment.
