The job

We are looking for an experienced nurse with relevant clinical skill and who has the passion, drive and commitment to deliver stoma care services within the acute and community. This role covers the Peterborough and Huntingdon area.

We are looking for a nurse to join our experienced team. The nurse needs to be able to work as an independent practitioner, be self-motivated and have a Winning mindset. They need to be a strategic thinker who wants to build on their commercial awareness and skill.

Essentials of the Role

We are looking for a Specialist Nurse to work in Partnership with our NHS colleagues. To provide ethical and professional nursing services within our Chronic Care Division (Bladder, Bowel and Stoma Care) within NMC guidelines.

  • RGN, Nursing Degree
  • Preferably with Bowel/Bladder or stoma care experience
  • Sound interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Teaching experience
  • Urology, bowel or stoma care experience desirable
Be able to
  • Deliver Professional and Ethical care to patients
  • Provide specialist stoma care community clinic reviews
  • Undertake an Appliance Use Review (AUR) on each clinical consultation as per company and DoH Guidelines
  • Support the Patient Pathway from hospital to home, providing home visits
  • Effectively and efficiently plan, manage and organise caseload and time
  • Communicate effectively and provide feedback to patients / carers and referring Healthcare professional
  • Maintain clinical records in accordance with Company, Legal and Professional requirements
  • Instigate working practices to ensure collaborative working between different stakeholders e.g. acute and community health care teams
  • Generate and maintain effective working relationships with health care professionals across the Region
  • Deliver educational support to fellow health care professionals
  • Undertake service audit/evaluation activities
