About Numan
Numan was founded in 2018 and has grown to a 200+ team distributed globally, united by a mission: empowering people to take control of their health. We are transforming health with a platform that integrates diagnostics, medication, supplements, digital programmes, and doctor consultations to help people maximise life. We are guided by our five values: Patients first, Learn Fast, Own the quality, Succeed together, Care deeply. Backed by top-tier investors, Numan is positively impacting hundreds of thousands of patients in the UK, and we invite you to help us deliver this mission.
The role
At Numan, we harness structured, interoperable medical data to enable safer, more effective, and scalable healthcare. We are looking for a Clinical Product Lead to join the Medical Platform team — someone who blends clinical insight with product thinking to ensure our data foundations support high standards of patient care, clinical safety, and usability. This role suits a clinically trained professional with a passion for digital health, strong attention to detail, and an interest in building long-term infrastructure. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to shape how we design, govern, and evolve clinical data across digital health pathways.
Responsibilities
- Defining how medical data is structured, captured, and surfaced across products to support safe and meaningful use.
- Monitoring and improving the accuracy, consistency, and quality of clinical data across systems.
- Investigating and resolving data issues, recommending improvements to workflows, data models, or processes.
- Ensuring compliance with clinical governance and regulatory standards, supporting audit readiness.
- Documenting data structures, decisions, and change cycles to enable transparency and accountability.
- Collaborating with product, engineering, and clinical teams to design data-driven features that scale safely.
- Advocating for reusable clinical workflows and their integration into a common platform.
- Managing incident investigations and proactively addressing clinical risks, proposing solutions to enhance clinical safety.
- Working with the Clinical Safety Officer to minimise clinical risks in digital experiences and software systems.
We’re looking for someone who has
- Experience with clinical coding and its validation, audit trails, and documentation.
- A clinical professional licence with experience in regulated healthcare environments and familiarity with SNOMED coding principles.
- Strong interest in health tech, data, and how structured information enables better care.
- Passion for leveraging technology and data to improve health outcomes and scale delivery.
- A systems mindset, considering care delivery end-to-end rather than only individual features.
- Ability to translate clinical and operational needs into clear product and data decisions.
- Strong communication skills to explain clinical reasoning and safety principles to technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Familiarity with governance frameworks and audit processes in a healthcare setting.
- Capability to work in fast-paced environments, decisively cutting through ambiguity.
It’s a bonus if you have
- Experience working with healthcare data standards and interoperability.
- Exposure to healthtech product development and patient-centred design.
- Experience in user research, usability testing, or service design in clinical contexts.
- Knowledge of data quality management in healthcare.
