Job Summary

Modality Partnership Leighton Road Surgery is seeking a full‑time Clinical Pharmacist. The successful candidate will provide pharmaceutical care to patients in a clinical setting, ensuring safe and effective medication use. This role is suitable for individuals who are career‑driven, passionate about working in an agile manner, and committed to making real changes to healthcare services within Primary Care. Salary is WTE and varies by prescribing status:

  • Prescribing Pharmacist – £49,000 to £52,000 per annum
  • Non‑Prescribing Pharmacist – £46,000 to £49,000 per annum

Job Responsibilities

The role is an all‑rounded, hands‑on Clinical Pharmacist position requiring confidence in key skills such as effective communication, multidisciplinary team collaboration, and patient‑facing clinical assessment and treatment. The pharmacist will work in partnership with local divisions, including Divisional Boards, and the National Modality Business Support Team to deliver innovative ways of working that meet strategic organisational aims. The schedule is not a standard 9 am–5 pm role; it demands innovation, flexibility, and commitment.

Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential)
  • Qualified pharmacist – PgCert Pharmacist Independent Prescribing Qualification or equivalent
Experience (Essential)
  • Relevant experience as a pharmacist, ideally in a general practice setting
  • Experience as a pharmacist prescriber preferred
Vaccination History (Essential)
  • Ability to provide full Hep B vaccination history including titre and/or booster evidence
Other Requirements
  • Current UK professional registration
  • UK right‑to‑work checks and Disclosure and Barring Service checks (subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act)
  • Pre‑employment vaccination checks, including Hep B evidence
