  • Lead and support the staff team to ensure effective deployment of resources, achievement of targets, and strong team wellbeing.
  • Oversee safe medication management, offering clinical guidance aligned with professional, medical, and nursing standards.
  • Coach, mentor, and support student and newly qualified nurses, fostering professional growth and high clinical standards.
  • Identify and manage clinical risks proactively, implementing measures to reduce and mitigate potential harm.
  • Contribute to and monitor the service budget, identifying efficiencies that support financial sustainability.
  • Use service user feedback to drive meaningful improvements to care and service delivery.
  • Conduct regular audits of clinical practice, review incidents and near misses, and report findings to the Quality and Safety team.
  • Address and manage team conflict constructively, promoting a respectful and supportive working environment.
  • Deputise for the Service Manager when required, ensuring continuous leadership and clinical oversight.
  • Undertake any reasonable duties to support the organisation and maintain high standards of care.
