Job summary

A leading NHS Foundation Trust in Cambridge is looking for a Clinical Fellow Higher in Gastroenterology. We are looking to appoint enthusiastic clinical fellows (equivalent IMT3 or above) in Gastroenterology, Intestinal Rehabilitation and Intestinal Transplant at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Cambridge Centre for Intestinal Rehabilitation and Transplant, working in a thriving multi-disciplinary team across the Transplant and Digestive Diseases Directorises at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will provide medical care for patients requiring artificial nutrition and those undergoing intestinal and multivisceral transplantation. The postholder will be supported by a team of Gastroenterologists, Transplant and Intestinal Failure Surgeons, Specialist Nurses, Coordinators, Psychologist and associated Resident Doctors. There will be opportunities for experience in other areas of Gastroenterology including inflammatory bowel disease or coeliac disease, as well as research opportunities.

In order to be considered applicants must meet the essential criteria outlined in the person specification section of the job description – this post is a physician post and does not include surgical opportunities.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at point of application is required.
