Location: Meadowhill Care Home, Castleford Close, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, WD6 4AL

Salary: £55,000 to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: 40 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Deputy Manager to join our team on a full-time permanent basis for our commissioning care home.

Nestled in the heart of Borehamwood, Meadowhill Care Homecombines modern design with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Boasting 75 private rooms and luxurious communal spaces, Meadowhill is tailored to meet the unique needs of residents in a safe and peaceful environment.

As the Clinical Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Home Manager to oversee the clinical operations of the home, ensuring the health, safety and well-being of our residents. You will lead and inspire the care team, oversee clinical operations and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

About the role:
  • Assist the Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring a high standard of care is provided
  • Lead and supervise the nursing and care staff, providing clinical expertise and guidance
  • Oversee the care planning process, ensuring residents’ individual needs are met with dignity and respect
  • Monitor clinical care standards, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and policies
  • Support the recruitment, training and development of staff to maintain a skilled and motivated team
  • Conduct regular audits, including medication management and care plans, to ensure best practices
  • Act as a role model for excellent clinical care and leadership
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families and healthcare professionals
  • Step into the Home Manager’s role when they are absent, ensuring continuity of care and management
About you:
  • Qualification as a Registered General Nurse with a current and valid NMC pin number
  • A minimum of 3 years management experience within a care home setting
  • Strong clinical skills with an understanding of CQC requirements, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults, HSE (Health & Safety Executive) requirements and other relevant legislation
  • Excellent communication with a positive, flexible and innovative attitude
  • Well organised with the ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment
