An expanding consultancy is seeking a highly driven Clerk of Works to join its team. This is a home/field based role working across projects in the South West of England.

The organisation operates in sectors including residential, commercial, arts and leisure, and education with a primary focus on residential developments. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team committed to delivering the highest standards of quality in construction.

Role Summary

The Clerk of Works will be responsible for inspecting workmanship, quality, and safety on projects, reporting to surveyors, aftercare teams, and clients. Projects are varied, offering opportunities to make a positive impact on local communities.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Attending initial and recurring project meetings to fully understand specifications and requirements
  • Conducting regular site inspections to ensure works meet drawings and specifications
  • Producing and distributing inspection, progress, and quality reports
  • Taking and providing progress photographs
  • Attending site meetings and giving verbal updates
  • Preparing snagging and de‑snagging sheets
  • Assisting in handover procedures
