A leading facilities management company is seeking a Cleaning Operative for the Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre. The successful candidate will ensure that all assigned areas are maintained to the highest standard, operate cleaning equipment, and keep schedules updated. Location: Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre, Perimeter Road, West Sussex, RH6 0PQ
Hours: Full-time (38.5 hrs per week)
Salary: £25,866.78 + Company Benefits

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cleaning Operative to join our dedicated team at Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre. Gatwick IRCs comprise Brook House and Tinsley House Immigration Removal Centres. Gatwick Pre-Departure Accommodation (PDA) is a small, discreet facility annexed to Tinsley House that provides short-stay accommodation and support to families with children under 18 years of age. Serco manages and delivers operations at both centres on behalf of the Home Office.
By joining our Cleaning Services team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all assigned areas are cleaned to the highest standard using the provided equipment. You will also keep schedules updated, maintain records of tools, and carry out any other duties as directed by the Facilities Manager or Senior Engineer.
Note: This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. All offers of employment are subject to security clearance checks and approval by the Home Office. You must be able to provide a 5-year checkable history for vetting and referencing.
