A local council organization in Carmarthen is looking for cleaning staff for term-time roles. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in schools by performing various cleaning tasks. £25,390 per annum (full time 37 hrs). Part‑time and term‑time salaries pro‑rated accordingly. Hourly rate £13.16. Contract hours 10.

The Cleaning Service provides an essential service throughout the County of Carmarthenshire. The team is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the County’s schools to ensure people can live an work in a clean and safe environment. The role involves term‑time cleaning with up to 10 days of holiday cleaning, with hours dependent on the contract each school has signed.
Maintain spotless and clutter‑free environments by performing tasks such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, emptying waste bins, replenishing consumable items, and deep cleaning as required. Use cleaning equipment, machinery and chemicals, following health and safety guidance.
DWBS level: An Enhanced with Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job. It is an offence to apply if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or adults at risk.
Welsh language level – verbal: Level 1 – a basic knowledge of Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
