Job summary

A leading security services provider in Oxford seeks a part-time Cleaner to maintain a high standard of cleanliness at the Churchill Hospital. Responsibilities include carrying out cleaning duties, managing waste, and adhering to safety protocols. Comprehensive training will be provided. This position offers 27 days of annual leave (pro rata) and a pension scheme.

Job description

Salary: £12.51 per hour

Working Hours: Permanent, Part Time, 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 16:30 - 19:00

Location: Churchill Hospital, Oxford, OX3 7LE

About The Role

As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining an exceptional environment for patients, visitors, and hospital staff.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning Excellence: Carry out all assigned cleaning duties using checklists and making full use of guidance and training provided.
  • Cleaning Activities: Undertake manual and mechanical cleaning tasks according to the set schedule.
  • Waste Management: Correctly collect, segregate, and dispose of waste materials and replace liners, following all policies.
  • Ad-Hoc Support: Provide emergency and other ad‑hoc cleaning as required.
  • Safety Compliance: Always use appropriate work equipment and PPE, and report safety issues or accidents to your line manager.
Desirable
  • Whilst experience in undertaking a range of cleaning duties is beneficial, it is not required as comprehensive training will be given.

Candidates should possess sufficient English language skills to follow instructions and communicate effectively with colleagues.
