About the Role

CareerMakers Recruitment are currently looking for HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Drivers on behalf of our client based in Preston. Due to continued business growth and high demand, we have both ongoing and ad‑hoc night shifts available offering you flexibility and stability in line with your availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out nationwide night trunking deliveries and collections
• Secure all loads correctly and safely
• Complete pre‑ and post‑use vehicle checks, reporting any defects promptly
• Maintain communication with the transport office throughout the shift
• Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and returned as required
• Maintain a high standard of safety, compliance, and professionalism

Requirements

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
• CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card
• No more than 6 points on your licence and no DR, IN or TT endorsements
• Strong knowledge of driving hours – TACHO rules
• Professional, reliable, and able to work independently
