Overview

Join our Children's Community Nursing Team (CCNT) in Bury on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. We welcome applications from motivated and innovative nurses (newly qualified welcome) to provide essential care closer to home for babies, children, and young people facing various health challenges with a person-centred approach to independence and wellbeing.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to children and young people across Bury with acute, chronic and complex health needs.
  • Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate programmes of care for children and young people using evidence-based practice.
  • Supervise, teach and assess other staff, professionals and students to support nursing care.
  • Undertake nursing interventions and apply knowledge and skills to meet patients’ needs.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of nursing notes within an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) in line with NMC standards and Trust policies/guidelines.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse in the UK, or be enrolled on a course with expected full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Note: a PRN PIN does not qualify for this role.
  • Understanding of, and ability to comply with, NMC standards and Trust policies.
  • Awareness of the OSCE constraints for International Nurses; information is provided on how to obtain a full NMC PIN in the future.
