A legal technology company in London is seeking a Chief of Staff to support the CEO in driving strategy and executing key initiatives. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in a similar role within high-growth startups, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in ambiguity. Lawhive is an online platform for consumers and small businesses to get legal help for a fraction of the cost of a law firm. Our platform combines regulated human lawyers collaborating alongside the world’s first AI lawyer, specifically built for consumer legal work.

Our AI lawyer Lawrence is built on top of our own fine tuned LLM and recently passed the UK’s bar exam equivalent.
We’re backed by some of the top US and UK VC funds including Google Ventures, Balderton Capital and TQ Ventures. We recently secured a $40M Series A funding round to facilitate international expansion and to grow our team, representing one of the five largest Series A rounds in Europe for 2024.
As Lawhive’s Chief of Staff, you will serve as the CEO’s thought partner and trusted operator, helping to unblock and drive clarity, focus, and momentum across the organisation. You’ll play a critical role in shaping company priorities, ensuring flawless execution of key initiatives across the business. From leading cross-functional projects to optimising our operating rhythms (annual planning, OKRs, leadership meetings), you’ll be the core pillar that keeps Lawhive running smoothly, quickly, and delivering maximum impact.

Serve as the CEO’s right hand and thought partner to support on everything from the strategy, prioritisation and the execution of key initiatives across the business.
Work cross-functionally to identify, scope and drive high-impact projects end-to-end across the business.
Act as the driving force behind Lawhive’s operating model, working alongside senior leadership on annual strategy setting, OKRs, and our monthly and quarterly rhythms.
Unblock teams across the org, protecting the CEO’s bandwidth by triaging incoming requests and accelerating decision making.
Chair leadership meetings, ensuring outputs are recorded and follow-up actions assigned
Partner with the CEO on investor relations including generating board packs, managing ongoing communication and investor updates.
Elevate Lawhive's company communication by driving clarity and alignment across teams through structured communication and coordination.
Act as a culture amplifier for Lawhive, raising the bar on speed, ownership and excellence.
6+ years of experience in a Chief of Staff, strategy or operations role, with demonstrated experience in a high-growth startup or scaleup environment
Exceptional organisation skills with the ability to manage competing complex priorities
A strong bias for action with the ability to get things done
An ability to thrive in ambiguity, bringing structure and clarity to processes and projects
Low ego with an openness to challenge, but happy to disagree and commit when needed
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence outcomes
