An educational assessment organisation in Aberdeen is inviting applications for the role of Chief Invigilator for Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor examinations. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising and supervising invigilation for all examinations according to the organisation's policies. Key requirements include basic IT skills, the ability to work with candidates in an exam setting, and the capability to undertake physical duties. Compensation is £150 per exam day, plus potential reimbursements.
Applications are invited for the post of Chief Invigilator for the Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) Examinations. Applicants are not required to have prior knowledge and understanding of the sector.
A Chief Invigilator (CI) is responsible for the organisation and supervision of invigilation of all examinations for DGSA, in accordance with SQA policy and procedures. The CI is also responsible for guiding the Assistant Invigilator during the examinations ensuring compliance with all SQA policies and procedures. These activities will be under the direction of staff from SQA and close liaison will be required throughout the examination period.

Applicants should note that they would be required to travel to a venues in Aberdeen (depending on the exam centre used for each diet).
The CI will be added to a bank of invigilators and required for four examination dates over each calendar year. The examination diets are as follows:
The CI fee for the day is £150 with the option for a supplementary payment depending on if extra examinations are completed. In addition to the fee, some travel and personal expenses are reimbursed in accordance with SQA policies and procedures.
Applicants must have internet access with basic IT skills and a personal email address for all correspondence. The role will require an individual who is able to physically undertake the duties as well as being able to work well with candidates in an examination setting.
Applicants should not be an employee of the examination centre or associated with the centre.
Any exceptions to these requirements must be approved in advance by SQA.
