Priory Hospital Ayr Clinic is looking to recruit a Charge Nurse to join the team. This is a full‑time 37.5‑hour role, which involves a day shift and night rotational shift pattern including a £5,000 welcome bonus for when you join us. Based in Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland, Priory Hospital Ayr Clinic is a low secure service for males and females with a mental health diagnosis and/or a personality disorder. We can support people from all over the UK. Lochlea House and Gatehouse are two step‑down services located in Ayrshire which are part of Ayr Clinic also.
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients' wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, and undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients. The role of the Charge Nurse is to provide senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team in support of the Ward Manager. They will have clinical experience and leadership that provides expertise and confidence to the nursing team and ward overall. They will have defined delegated responsibilities from the Ward Manager; having protected time for their management duties and having supervisory responsibilities for an agreed group of staff.
