Catering Assistant

Grade 2, point 4‑7 (Actual salary £14,701.70 - £15,412.70)

Permanent, Term time only (39 weeks)

25 hours per week (5 hours per day) Monday to Friday

We are seeking an outstanding Catering Assistant. The successful candidate will work under the direction and guidance of the Catering Supervisor, assisting in the food preparation and the delivery of the food service at Cheslyn Hay Academy in line with the vision and values of Windsor Academy Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • To assist in the smooth running of the food service to include assisting in the preparation and production of hot food, sandwiches, salads, baked goods, and all other food served.
  • To assist in all aspects of stock control including stock takes and delivery monitoring, and to provide a positive, friendly customer service for all pupils, staff and visitors using the facility.
  • To assist with all aspects of cleaning of the kitchen, equipment and other food service areas ensuring that all check‑lists are completed.
  • To assist in the production of food for special events, theme days and functions.
