Overview

We are looking for an experienced Category Manager, based at our Head Office in Barton-Upon-Humber. The position is full time, working 5 days a week from Monday to Friday, 07:30-16:00.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement category strategies based on market trends, customer insights, and business goals.
  • Propose, lead, and coordinate procurement projects, managing the supply chain from sourcing to end-user delivery.
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage high-value or complex supplier agreements.
  • Monitor and manage category KPI's, including sales performance, margin, stock levels and inventory turnover.
  • Support new product development and launch initiatives within your category.
  • Develop the team of Buyers, Junior Buyers and Purchasing Assistants, driving performance and supporting personal growth.
About You
  • Previous experience in a buyer or procurement role
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience with contract management
  • Strong financial and analytical capabilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Driving licence is essential
