Job description

Job Title: Casual Support Worker

Agency: Accomplish

Location: Oldham, Manchester (OL8)

Salary/Rate: £12.60 – £13.30* per hour

Overview

Boston House provides slow‑stream neuro‑rehabilitation for 17 adults with complex needs following a brain injury. As a Support and Therapy Assistant you will work in collaboration with the Neuro‑Therapy Team to assist residents with their ongoing rehabilitation goals and daily living needs.

Responsibilities
  • Promote independence and encourage residents to engage in their rehabilitation journey.
  • Support residents with health‑care matters, including accompanying them to routine appointments, hospital admissions, and administering medication when trained.
  • Assist residents with budgeting, paying bills, menu planning, shopping and domestic tasks such as cleaning and cooking in line with therapy goals.
  • Provide personal care support as required.
  • Follow tailored therapy programmes set by the Physiotherapist, Speech & Language Therapist, and Occupational Therapist.
  • Participate in the team’s positive and active support culture, encouraging residents toward a brighter future.
