A local government authority in Bath is seeking a part-time Security Control Room member to monitor CCTV and enhance public safety. This role requires flexibility for shift work and excellent customer service skills. Ideal candidates will be proactive problem solvers with experience in record keeping, contributing significantly to crime prevention efforts. Full training will be provided, and the position requires passing NPPV-level 2 police vetting.
This key role, working as a member of the Security Control Room Team, will give you the chance to make a real contribution to improving public safety. Our team monitors public space CCTV cameras, handles out of hours calls, manages access within the Bath City Centre Security Zone, 24/7 365 days a year. You will work with our partners, including the police, city marshals, and other Council departments to help prevent, detect, and reduce crime and disorder within B&NES. Please note that this position requires full NPPV-level 2 police vetting and the ability to obtain SIA CCTV Licence. Full training will be provided.
We need someone who is flexible and can work shifts, including unsociable hours during nights, weekends, and bank holidays, to support the team rota. You will need to be proactive and able to cope with conflicting demands to prioritise your work and are able to use your own initiative in solving problems. Proficiency with IT is a must, along with excellent customer service and communication skills, and experience in accurate record keeping.
