We are seeking a reliable and skilled individual to joinour Design and Technology department as a Design & Technology Technician ona casual basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the smoothrunning of practical lessons and support the delivery of an engaging and safelearning environment. You will be essential in supporting inthepreparation of all materials including timber, plastics, and textile fabrics. Aknowledge of machinery, tools, and general woodworking skills are essential inorder to support the staff within the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparingmaterials and resources for lessons and student projects in graphics,textiles, and resistant materials
  • Assistingin the development and construction of teaching aids and prototypesMaintainingand monitoring power tools, machinery, and equipment, ensuring all healthand safety standards are met
  • Carryingout first‑line maintenance and arranging annual safety inspections (e.g.,PAT testing, LEV checks)
  • Supportingthe department with administrative tasks including ordering materials andmanaging inventory
  • Occasionallyassisting small groups of students with practical tasks under staffsupervision

  • Goodgeneral education with sound literacy and numeracy skills

This casual role has the potential to become a permanentposition in the future. It is ideal for someone with flexibility who is able tocommit to approximately 15 hours per week. Working hours can be discussed andagreed upon with the department based on operational needs.
