Hours: 36 hours per week, 40 weeks per year, Term-time working.

Salary: Scale 5.12 to 5.15, £32,535 - £33,012 Annually (FTE). Actual Salary £27,642 to £28,047 (as 84.96% FTE)

Contract Type: Fixed Term/Maternity Cover

Start Date: As soon as possible

About this Role

We are looking to appoint a high-calibre Careers Manager to join our talented and supportive team at The Frances Bardsley Academy for Girls during a period of maternity leave. The Careers Manager will be responsible for overseeing the provision of careers education in line with the National Curriculum and the school's overall policies.

You should have a passion for working with young people to help them reach their full potential. This is an incredible opportunity to positively influence our students' career choices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work effectively and efficiently as an individual and as part of a professional team
  • Drive the Careers provision across the school with passion and energy
  • Provide and inspire independent careers advice and guidance to all students from Year 7-13
  • Co‑operate with school leadership to align careers activities with the curriculum and personal development plans
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest careers provision and resources for pupils and staff
Qualifications and Experience
  • Excellent communication skills, oral, written and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in the use of ICT and the software programmes used in schools
  • Passion and energy to drive the Careers provision across the school
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently as an individual and as part of a professional team
