What is Domiciliary Care?

Domiciliary care, also known as home care, offers essential support to individuals within the comfort of their own homes. It assists with everyday tasks, personal hygiene, and more physically demanding activities, allowing people to maintain their quality of life and well-being in a familiar environment.

Care Supervisor Duties

As a Care Supervisor, your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, from supporting the delivery of care to providing vital leadership to our care teams. You will work alongside the Registered Manager to ensure the highest standards of care are met. Your responsibilities will also include office-based support, helping to oversee care provision and contribute to the ongoing development of our services.

This role involves travel between client locations in North Manchester & Salford, so a valid driving licence is essential. Unlike many other organisations, we ensure that travel time and mileage are reimbursed, as we truly value your dedication and efforts.

Key Duties:

  • Conduct client reviews and risk assessments in line with current standards.
  • Provide leadership to the care teams at CareYourWay, North Manchester & Salford.
  • Support all members of the care department by adhering to best practices, policies, procedures, legislative requirements, and relevant regulations under the Manager's direction.
  • Supervise care services and perform spot-checks at CareYourWay, North Manchester & Salford, in accordance with established standards.
  • Maintain current skills and participate in training and development to keep practices up to date.
  • Be on-call one weekend every three weeks, and occasionally on weekend evenings.
  • Ensure all employees contribute to the efficient operation of the service and supervise them effectively.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of the individuals you support.
  • Going out when needed to help cover care visits.
