Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable, caring Care Assistant to help deliver the best possible care at all times. Salary is £12.60 – £13.23 per hour, depending on qualifications. Alternate weekend working will be required. Night shifts run from 8pm to 8am.

Please apply only if you live within a commutable distance to the care home and do not require sponsorship, as we are unable to offer it at this time. Candidates also need to have their own transport.

Main Duties
  • Assist residents with dressing, undressing, bathing and toilet use
  • Support residents with mobility problems and/or other physical disabilities
  • Promote mental and physical activity through conversation, outdoor activities and hobbies
  • Assist with meals when required
  • Read and write reports in case notes
  • Assist with medication administration as directed
  • Undertake other duties as required by line management
Skills and Experience
  • NVQ qualification (desirable but not essential – full training is provided)
  • A genuine willingness to care for senior adults in a care home environment
  • High level of written and spoken English
  • Position subject to DBS check
